Carol Manente, age 77 of Hamden passed away peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford with her loving family by her side.  Born in Bridgeport she was a daughter of the late Peter and Anna Denhup Kasper.  Carol worked for many years at SNET as a service order representative.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, found great joy attending her grandchildren's events and most of all loved spending time with her family and friends.  She is survived by her six loving children; David (Christine) Manente of Seymour, Anthony Manente of Fairfield , Michael (Darlene) Manente of Bridgeport, Gregory (Heidi) Manente of Stratford, Gina (John) Keklik of Monroe and Ralph Manente of Hamden .  Her brother, Peter (Maggie) Kasper of Florida and sister, Viola Arvai of Hamden.  She is also survived her grandchildren; Kristina Manente, Briana Manente, Daniel Manente, John Keklik, Brandon Keklik, Abby Manente, Christopher Manente and Amanda Manente and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother John Kasper.  The hours of visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 4 to 7:30 pm at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street , Stratford .  Funeral services will follow at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd.
