Brian "Papa Carf" M. Carrafiello
Brian Michael Carrafiello, age 71, a lifelong resident of Stratford passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024 in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was the son of the late Albert and Laura Carrafiello and he was the husband of the late Donna M. Carrafiello. Born in Bridgeport on February 8, 1953, Brian graduated from Kolbe Cathedral where he played semi-pro football. He devoted 40 years to the city of Bridgeport working as a longshoreman and chief clerk at Silco Terminal on the docks. Brian was a lifelong parishioner of St. James Church in Stratford, CT. Whether it was for family, friends, school functions or sports programs, Brian was always there to build others up and show support. He enjoyed watching his children's sporting events and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a dedicated husband, son, and grandfather who will truly be missed by all who loved him.
Brian will be reunited with his wife and late son, Jason W. Carrafiello. He is survived by his daughter, Nichole Carrafiello and Jose DeJesus and adored grandchildren, Caitlyn and Brian Carrafiello and Ava DeJesus, a sister Alana Carrafiello and a brother Joseph Carrafiello, and several nieces and nephews all of Stratford, CT and Texas.
Family and Friends may greet the family on Monday, February 26th from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m at Dennis and D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday February 27, 2024 at 10:00 am in St. James Church, 2070 Main St. Stratford
In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital ( www.stjude.org ) where Brian donated every month for the past 15+ years and felt so deeply about.
