Beverly Blake, 74, of Stratford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025. Born on December 24, 1950, Beverly was a lifelong resident of Stratford and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Dennis Blake; her loving son, Christopher Blake and his wife Kendra Blake and loving daughter Jennifer Blake; and her cherished grandsons, Avery Blake and Bennett Feineigle, who brought her endless pride and joy. She is also survived by her siblings, Patrick Matto and Louise Powers, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Pasquale and Amelia Matto and her brother Leonard Matto.

Beverly built a career as a Retirement Specialist at Pitney Bowes. However, her heart was rooted in home and family. She was a talented gardener and baker, often found tending to her flowers or preparing a home-cooked meal with love. Her Sunday dinners, especially her gravy and meatballs, were a treasured family tradition that brought everyone together around the table.

Beverly will be remembered for her kindness, her strong sense of family, and her unwavering generosity. Her home was always open to family and friends, offering not just food and comfort, but a sense of belonging.

A Mass of Christian Burial  will be held to honor her life on Tuesday May 20, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford with burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday May 19, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, loved ones take a moment to plant something beautiful in her memory—just as she planted love and warmth in the hearts of everyone she met.
