Bernice Money, age 94 of Milford, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at home. Born in Stratford, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Blanche Surprenant Cleary.  Bernice obtained her LPN license and worked at various locations until her retirement in 1997.

Bernice "Bea" was a resident of Stratford for more than 50 years and moved to Milford almost 20 years ago to be closer to her grandchildren. Bea or "Nana" greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren taking long wagon rides through Longbrook park, having fun at pool parties at the house and enjoying watching them grow up through parties, recitals, and graduations.

In addition to her parents, Bernice was predeceased by her husband of forty-two years, Leroy Oliver Money; two brothers; Thomas and Richard Cleary; three sisters, Dorothy Elliot, Irene Wigley and Joyce Cantarano. Bernice is survived by her son Kevin and wife Karen Money of Milford, CT. her daughter Lynn Money and significant other  Randy Weaver of Brandon, FL. But most important of all are her grandchildren Erica, Kaitlyn, Ryan, and Sara who made every day better.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday December 22, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford.  A funeral service will be held on Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will be held privately in Mt. Grove of Easton Cemetery.
