Barbara Leigh Eisenman Jurczak died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

Barbara was born on December 21, 1949 and was a lifelong resident of Stratford, Connecticut. She was a graduate of St. James Parochial School and Stratford High School, class of 1967.

Barbara was the beloved wife of Thomas Jurczak for fifty years, loving mother to Michael and Mark, devoted sister to Jeanne Eisenman Garza (Faustino), brother Paul Eisenman (Charo), and many extended family, nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her parents Karl and Dorothy Eisenman (Barber) and her brother Karl.

Barbara was blessed by a life well lived. First and foremost, she loved her family deeply. She cherished the love of music her mother Dorothy instilled in her from a young age, and treasured the memory of playing the piano with her mother on the cello. She so enjoyed dinners out with Tom, Mike and Mark, collecting and shopping for sparkling jewelry and pastel-colored clothes, and appreciated all forms of art, especially Monet.

Barbara was the heart of her family and she devoted herself unselfishly to their welfare, as with others, before even thinking of herself. She will be so missed by all who knew and loved her. No one can fill her vacant place, but her memory will be held close in our hearts.
