Barbara Ann Ferris, age 62, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 21, 2024 with her beloved husband, Gene Ferris, by her side.

Born in Bridgeport on September 6, 1962, she was the daughter of her late parents, Rose Mandeville and William H. Tallerdy Sr. Barbara was a graduate of Stratford High School. She retired from Hubbell in Shelton where she worked in Sales and Marketing. Barbara was a very talented and avid crochetier. In her youth, Barbara enjoyed being involved in drum corps and winter guard activities. Being a part of the Bengal Lancers Winter Guard was one of her proudest memories. She was most passionate about her grandchildren, Logan, Emma, Talia and Charley. Also, Braden, Bryson, Skyla and Bryan Jr. and her grand-dog Eli. They were her world, and she loved spending time with them whenever possible.

Besides her husband Gene, Barbara is also survived by her loving cat, Trouble, her children David Spodnick and his husband Nathan Jasunas, and her daughter, Diane Spodnick, stepdaughters Nicole Hall and Michelle Stamps, and Gene's loving parents, Janette and Dave Maxwell.

Her surviving siblings are Debby Garrick (wife,Susan), Darlene Rowley (husband, Joe) and Bob Tallerdy, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and very close friends.  She is pre-deceased by her siblings Bill Tallerdy, Diane Verdi and Gary Tallerdy, as well as her very special niece, Tammy Penny.

Friends may greet Barbara's family starting at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024. at the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford CT.  A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 p.m at the funeral home.
