Barbara Weaver Ashcroft, age 76, of Stratford passed away peacefully on August 13, 2021 at St. Vincent's Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport, CT on September 17, 1944, she was a daughter of Albert and Catherine (Stackiokas) Weaver. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Frederick Ashcroft Jr.

Barbara loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed traveling and her visits to the casino.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Frederick Ashcroft III of Stratford and Brian (Kim) Ashcroft of Milford; daughter, Trudi Soumari of Stratford; sister, Peggy Weaver Quinn of Trumbull; sister-in-law, June Johnson; cherished granddaughters, Hailey and Hayden Ashcroft; nephews, Edward (Lexi) Quinn, and Billy Johnson, nieces; Susan (Matt) Wollen, and Karyn (Brian) Shuell; several great-nieces and nephews and many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, and her brothers-in-law, John Quinn and Bill Johnson.

Friends may greet the family on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 4-6pm at the Dennis and D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St., Stratford.
