It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce that our beloved son, Austin J Owen peacefully passed away on April 11th, 2022 at the age of 36. Austin was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on September 7th 1985 to Nicholas and Kyle (Kochiss) Owen.

"Captain Ron", as we like to call him was a free spirit with the biggest heart of anyone we've known. Austin's caring spirit and generous heart could be felt by everyone he came into contact with. He had a special gift of embracing everyone and was an example to so many on how to treat people with dignity and respect. Austin had a love of sailing, music and spent most of his time playing guitar, which he was very talented at. His passion for music brought out the happy free spirit that defined his life.

Austin was dearly loved by his family and was a wonderful big brother. He always made sure he checked in on his siblings every chance that he got. They all shared a bond and when the whole family was together they lived, laughed and loved.

When you think of Austin, celebrate the good memories you have of him. He will be missed more than any words could express but he will be forever in our hearts.

Austin is survived by his Mother, Kyle Kochiss and Father Nicholas Owen, his Brothers Garrett Owen and Darren Owen, his Sister Nicki (Owen) Thorne, his brother in law Andrew Thorne and his many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 4:30 PM at Mill River Country Club 4567 Main St, Stratford CT 06614 in Austin's honor. Please join our family in remembering his bright and beautiful life.
