Anita A. Giuricich, age 96, formerly of East Market Street, Long Beach, NY, slipped peacefully away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at St. Joseph's Manor in Trumbull, CT. Born in Hoboken, NJ on July 2, 1919, she was the daughter of the late James and Louise Giuricich. She retired in 1984 from McGraw-Hill Company in NYC after 40 years as an executive secretary. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church By the Sea, Long Beach Historical Society, League of Women Voters, and a volunteer at the Long Beach Public Library. She enjoyed reading, Broadway musicals, plays, and traveling. Having no children of her own, she was a loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews and will be missed. She was predeceased by two sisters, Jeannie Fabrizi and her husband Tony, and May Battani and her husband Ray. Survivors include three nieces Christine Fabrizi Holtz and her husband Mark of Trumbull, CT, Nancy Fabrizi-Miller of Wallingford, CT, Norma Jean Battani Benson and her husband Pat of Hollywood, FL, two nephews Jim Battani and his wife Melinda, of Sunrise, FL, and Raymond Battani and his wife Susan, of Charlottesville, VA, and several great nieces and nephews. Interment will be held privately by the family.
