Obituary


Abram Jose Pereira age 90, son of Amelia and Damasio Pereira of Mattapoisett, Mass passed away on October 4, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Arquilla Williams Pereira and his son Brandon Pereira and daughter in law Lora Bonaventura Pereira. Abe is also survived by two beloved grandchildren, Bennett and Amelia Pereira of Stratford. He also leaves behind his brother Albert Pereira. Abe was predeceased by his brother Arthur Pereira, and two brother in laws, Andre and Wayne Williams. He is also survived by his brother in laws, Ormond, Ezra and Leonard Williams and several nieces and nephews. Abe was employed by Sikorsky Aircraft, where he met his loving wife of 48 years. He was an owner operator truck driver. His passion was airplanes. Abe earned his private pilot's license and loved flying. He felt he could do anything he set his mind to at a early age. Abram served in the US Navy during WWII and was proud to say he was a veteran. In 2016 he spoke in his grandsons class regarding his Navy experience. He had a deep love for his family friends and country. Abe will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

Friends may greet the family on Saturday November 17, 2018 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Dennis & D'Arcy - Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford. Full Military Honors will be held at the funeral home at 2:45p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the organization of your choice.
