James Lutian

James M. (Jim) Lutian, age 49, passed away in his Stratford home on September 18, 2012. Jim was born in Bridgeport on September 13, 1963 and was a life-long Stratford resident. After graduating from Stratford High School in 1981, Jim earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a Minor in Engineering from the University of Connecticut at Storrs in 1985. Jim started his career at People’s Bank in Bridgeport and continued on in the Banking and Finance industry, primarily in the Mortgage field, helping scores of families fulfill their dreams. Jim was the proud and devoted father of three beautiful girls -- Kate, Maddie, and Carrie Lutian of Stratford . He considered his three daughters his biggest accomplishment and the greatest joy in his life. In addition to his three daughters, Jim is survived by his mother Patricia F. Lutian of Milford, sister Anne Marie Burgess of South Windsor, brothers John Lutian (Joanne) of Bellevue WA, Mark Lutian (Terri) of Clinton, Michael Lutian (Linda) of Milford, and Joseph Lutian (Martha) of Arnold MD, along with 14 nieces and nephews, 2 great nieces, and his life-long best friend Don Scheck (Jaqi) of Orange. Jim was predeceased by his father Michael J. Lutian. Jim will forever be missed by countless extended family and friends, all of whom are better off for having known him. Friends and relatives are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday September 23, 2012 from 1-5 pm at the Dennis & D’Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. , Stratford . A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Avenue , Stratford In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for the benefit of Kate, Maddie, and Carrie Lutian may be made payable to Thomas Morton, Trustee, 156 Mill River Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
