June Alison White Kraska passed away on August, 9 2012 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford , CT. Throughout June’s gracious life of 86 years she provided so much support, sincerity, happiness and joy to all those she came in contact with; always generously giving. If you were with June, upon leaving she would never just say good bye; it was either “see you soon” or “bye-bye for now.” June was the only child of Edward and Edith Provost White and a lifetime Stratford resident. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 2001 after 54 years of marriage. June was a retired employee of United Technologies Sikorsky Aircraft Division. For many years she was an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels, The Golden Rooster Shop, Shakespeare Guild and Sikorsky Friendship Club as well as a two-time member of the Vestry of Christ Episcopal Church. During her marriage, she and Frank became world Travelers. She was more than just a dedicated Mets fan, win or lose and enjoyed many trips to Shea Stadium. A true animal lover, she took great pride in her beloved Dobermans. Survivors include one son, Dean Edward Kraska of Waterford and one daughter, Diane Ellen Selvaggi Vernon and her husband Joe of Milford; three grandchildren, Nicole Kraska Standish and her husband Joseph of Winsted, Brittany Lynn Selvaggi of Meriden and Kyle Michael Selvaggi of Milford ; and a great grand-daughter, Myla Raine Standish. She leaves many close and devoted friends; and most dearly friend and soul mate Wilbur S. Conlea Jr. of Danbury , CT and Lakeland , NJ . In honor of her wishes there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will take place Friday (Today) at 2:00 pm in the Union Cemetery, 23 Temple Court, Stratford. There will be a celebration of her life gathering in the very near future, for arrangements contact Dean Kraska, 860-942-1449.
