Charles K. Linden, age 86, of Stratford passed away on Wednesday May 23, 2012 at Connecticut Hospice Branford. Born in Bridgeport he was the son of the late Charles and Ida Linden. Charles was a retired tool and die maker for the US Baird Corporation and served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking and gardening and was a member of the Pootatuck Yacht Club. Survivors include his beloved wife Joan Parson Linden, his devoted children; two sons, Robert W. Linden of East Lyme, and Richard M. Linden and his wife Gail of Chicago, IL, three daughters, Catharine Linden of Shelton, Deborah Morgia and her husband Albert of Milford and Susan Linden of Stratford, three grandchildren, Janelle Linden, Ashley Gauthier and Alison Morgia and a great granddaughter, Molly Gauthier. He was predeceased by a granddaughter Alicia Morgia and his sister Mildred Linden. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Friday afternoon, May 25, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in the Dennis & D’Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main St. Stratford with the Rev. Ed Rawls, officiating. Private burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 1:00 to 1:30 pm prior to services.
