Eleanor B. Adams, age 91 of the Lordship section of Stratford passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the widow of Robert J. Adams. Born in Bridgeport on July 27, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Louise Tadeusiak Lazicki. Mrs. Adams was a graduate of Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing and had received a scholarship from the March of Dimes to study physical therapy at the Mayo Clinic. For several years she was a physical therapist for many area hospitals and nursing homes. She was an active member of the Lordship Community Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Eleanor had a great love for her family, cooking and for her occupation. She is survived by her loving children, Jeff Adams and his wife Kathryn of Milford and Suzanne Lucas of Shelton. She also is survived by 4 grandsons, Jedd Lucas, Adam Lucas, Will Adams and Christian Adams, her sister in-law Gene Laskey and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, she was predeceased by her son in law Robert Lucas, brother Eugene Laskey and her sister, Arlene Kaiser. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 meeting directly at 11:00 am at the Lordship Community Church with Rev. Mary Wills officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 4 to 7 pm at the Dennis & D’Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
